FOCUS DIY SECURES ITS FIRST EVER SPONSORSHIP DEAL
Focus DIY is upping the anti on its 2007 marketing campaign by investing in its first ever TV sponsorship deal, which will see the leading DIY and gardening retailer sponsoring the Style Homes' strand of programmes on UK TV Style.
The exciting 10 month campaign launches on 19th March and runs throughout the year until 30th December, offering FOCUS over 650 hours of programming exposure, driving brand recognition and loyalty amongst a key target audience.
Developed by Gratterpalm, the 10" idents take a comedy route and involve inanimate objects and animals commenting on DIY and gardening in a comic and engaging tone. The idents look to offer viewers inspiration and fresh ideas for the home and garden and will communicate the key categories FOCUS covers including decorating, core DIY, showroom and gardening.
13 different executions have been created and these will run on rotation throughout the campaign at the beginning and end of the selected programmes, as well as either side of the commercial breaks.
The deal has secured
three hours of coverage on UKTV Style every day Monday to Friday across a variety
of popular home interest programmes including DIY SOS, House Doctor and Homes
Under The Hammer.
Commenting on the TV sponsorship deal, Paul Willis, Marketing Director from FOCUS said: "We are all really excited about the UK TV Style deal as this is the first time we have undertaken a TV sponsorship."
"UK TV Style is a perfect fit for the FOCUS brand, it is the ideal target audience as everyone who watches these programmes has a keen interest in DIY and gardening. The channel receives over six million viewers every month, so there is a huge opportunity for us to raise brand awareness and reinforce FOCUS' offering to a large and relevant audience."
In addition to the TV sponsorship, FOCUS can tap into the online audience, as the deal also includes a bespoke content area on the UK TV Style website - www.uktv.co.uk. The FOCUS branded section will incorporate advice and tips, as well as promote new products and include a link back to the FOCUS website to encourage sales.
