POLICY AIM

FOCUS is committed to the conservation of natural resources and to playing its part in reducing the impacts of global warming. Climate change is a central business concern and it is our policy to minimise energy consumption, in order to reduce our carbon dioxide emissions, wherever it is practical to do so.

POLICY STATEMENT

FOCUS will:

1. Operate in an efficient way to reduce CO2 emissions, resource consumption and costs continually.

2. Monitor energy and water consumption across all our sites and operations.

3. Seek to improve continually our energy and water performance by reviewing our energy consumption and conservation measures periodically.

4. Invest in our buildings to provide efficient heating, cooling, lighting, water and power, where this meets investment criteria, including consideration of renewable energy sources.

5. Develop an annual Carbon Action Plan which will set targets for reduction through specific objectives.

6. Promote energy efficient products to our customers in stores.

7. Encourage all colleagues to practice energy conservation.

8. Comply with all legal requirements concerning energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.

9. Report publicly on our annual carbon performance and activities to mitigate climate change.
